Bihar court ordered chief of congress Sonia Gandhi to be present in the court, in a case hearing to be held on 29 July. In the allegations of disrespecting the Hindu spirituals and hurting them.
It states that in posters in Uttar Pradesh, Mrs Sonia Gandhi depicted as Goddess Durga was an “insult to Hindu religion”. Additional District and Sessions Judge, A K Srivastava ordered issue of the summon after listening this complainant and senior advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha. The order asks Mrs. Gandhi to be present either in person or through lawyer to comment on this issue.
In his request, Ojha states that on 21 June of 2007, in a Hindu daily Mrs. Gandhi was depicting like Goddess Durga, insulting the religion. The presentees in court will also includes UPCC president Rita Bahuguna and Muradabad’s party district president. The picture was also displayed in the office of the Muradabad Congress. Before this, Judicial Magistrate Mohammed Rustam of Muradabad, sent her a request on this issue on 28 August 2009 which was ignored. Then court re-ordered her to appear before the court.
